Definitely worth it! (at least during spring).
We had 2h to spend on the gardens, which is enough time to walk them and take pictures with no hurries.
During the bus trip, the guide told us about Monet's life, and some things about Paris on the way back, as we drove near different attractions of the city.
The guides were very knowledgable and interesting. We had beautiful weather, making the whole experience, a delight. The beautiful setting made me look like a good photographer.

I only wish there had been a smaller group format. This number of visitors at the home and gardens all at once made it rather crowded and less enjoyabel than it might have otherwise been.
