Start your tour at any of the 6 stops, and ride until you want to hop off. Visit Baixa, the downtown district of Lisbon where you can see Comercio Square (Praça do Comércio), Rossio Square (Praça de D. Pedro IV), the Square of the Fig tree (Praça da Figueira) or the Santa Justa Elevator (Elevador de Santa Justa), an Eiffel Tower-like structure and one of the most popular landmarks in the city.

Hop on the tram again to go to Alfama, the city’s oldest quarter, or Bairro Alto & Chiado, Lisbon's cultural heart and the must-visit quarter for shopping and dining. Or maybe you’d rather some peace and quiet – if so, take the tram to Estrela, home to the lovely Estrela Park (Jardim da Estrela).

At 2pm, depart on your half-day tour to Sintra, a so-called fairytale town due to its palaces and villas on the hilltops. You will have two hours of free time to explore Sintra on your own; your guide will give you the lay of the land, answer your questions and tell you the must-sees sights, including the gorgeous Sintra National Palace (Palácio da Vila) and the whimsical Pena Palace (Palácio da Pena), famous for its Romanticist architecture.

When your two hours are up, continue your tour to Cabo da Roca (20-minute break in March to October only), a cliff famous for being mainland Europe's westernmost point. Take pictures of the beautiful landscape and the cape’s small lighthouse.

On the way to your last stop, Cascais, a former fishing village and preferred resort for European royals in the early 20th century, keep your eyes open, and you’ll be rewarded with views of the coast and beautiful Guincho Beach. In Cascais, enjoy your 10-minute break, stroll along one of the small beaches and enjoy the sea views before heading back to Lisbon.
