On this six day tour you will travel to Stellenbosch, South Africa's premier wine making area where you can explore the pretty villages and sample the local product.
See natures wonder of Cango Caves and visit one of only 3 Ostrich "Show Farms' in the area of Oudtshoorn, and admire the natural beauty of Featherbed Nature Reserve and Plettenberg Bay.
Two nights will be spent in the Knysna, a town prettily sitting between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean. Authentic African traders favor this town and it is a great place to pick up a few genuine handicraft souvenirs to take home with you.
Spend a night in the whale watching hub of Hermanus, and if you are lucky enjoy the shore whale watching (August - November), and maybe meet the famous local whale crier.

Itinerary:
Day One: Cape Town - Stellenbosch - Montagu
Depart Cape Town and travel via Cape Winelands to Stellenbosch where you will have wine tasting and a museum visit. Continue to Worcester and Robertson.
Overnight accommodation: Montagu Country Inn or similar.
Day Two: Montagu - Oudtshoorn
After breakfast travel to Oudtshoorn via Barrydale and Ladismith. You will have a guided tour of an Ostrich "show farm", one of only 3 in the area and after lunch, tour the vast, colorful limestone Cango Caves.
Overnight accommodation: La Plume Guest House (farm accommodation) or similar.
Day Three: Featherbed Nature Reserve - Knysna
Travel over Outeniqua Pass to George where you will board Outeniqua Choo Tjoe steam train for a short ride (optional extra not included in the tour cost - time permitting). Transfer to Knysna and board a ferry to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy a trailer ride to the top of Western Head and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch.
Overnight accommodation: Knysna log Inn or similar.
Day Four: Knysna
Drive through Nature's Valley and the Tsitsikamma Forests. Return to overnight in Knysna via Plettenberg Bay. Included in 2010 tours will be a complimentary visit of Monkeyland Private Sanctuary.

Day Five: Hermanus
Travel via George, Mossel Bay and Swellendam (lunch). Continue to Hermanus, location of the world's best shore based whale watching sites (August - November).
Overnight accommodation: Auberge Burgundy or similar.
Day Six: Hermanus - Cape Town
After breakfast depart Hermanus via the coastal road to Somerset West. Continue to Cape Town where your tour ends in the late afternoon. You may disembark, on request, at Cape Town International Airport.
