Hot Air Balloon Flight Over Canberra

One of the great joys of ballooning is its tranquility as you float with the breeze, feeling absolutely no sensation of movement. You have become one with the wind... you are moving with it... and therefore you have become a part of a complex weather system that is ever changing. Go on, join us for a hot air balloon flight over Australia's capital city - Canberra.

You will meet about half an hour before sunrise (you will be advised of the meeting time when you re-confirm your flight) as the early morning is when the air is most stable and the winds are calm, ensuring a tranquil flight. After a short flight briefing, you will be transported to an appropriate launch site where you are welcome to help with the inflation of the balloons, or stand back and take photographs. Once aloft, passengers are rewarded with stunning views of Canberra - sights include the lake, the Parliamentary Triangle and our magnificent capital city planned by Walter Burley Griffin.

A personalized Flight Certificate is given to each passenger during a traditional champagne celebration, which rounds off a fabulous morning. From start to finish, the Canberra hot air balloon adventure takes about 3 hours, and the experience is terrific dinner conversation for the rest of your life!

Balloon flights are weather dependent, and for safety reasons, you will not fly when it is wet, foggy or too windy.

• Flights last anywhere from forty-five minutes to an hour depending on the weather and prevailing breeze. Balloon flights are subject to weather conditions and may need to be rescheduled if weather conditions are not satisfactory.
• We advise that you wear comfortable clothing (in layers), and footwear that will allow your feet to remain warm and dry.
• Infants aged 5 years and under are not permitted on the balloon flight
