This was a great trip.
The Ipipiri is a very comfortable craft, with nice beds in the cabins and several areas on the decks for relaxing and enjoying the view.
The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful and the food was good too.
We enjoyed cruising in the islands and did various water activities, like kayaking and snorkelling and encountered a playful pod of dolphins off the bow.
The coach to and from Paihia was comfortable so we were not tired.
Very relaxing, I recommend it.
This was an amazing trip! My husband and I went on this overnight cruise and recommend it very highly. The only thing we didn't get to see was the Hole in the Rock. We booked another quick trip out to see it, which helped us to realize the amazing deal we got on this overnight trip. So well worth it! It was one of the highlights of our NZ trip! I would absolutely recommend this!

Amazing time! My husband and I had wonderful weather whilst on this cruise, it was a perfect added bonus to our itinerary, we met some lovely people and the crew were fantastic. The captain was very friendly and informal and made everyone feel welcome. Highly recommended! Cabins are also just right and equipped to a high standard.

Unfortunately, it was raining both days so we didn't get off the boat to kayak, snorkel or visit an island as the brochure indicated. It was very rough getting out to islands but we settled down for night and one of the lovely stewards got the Trivial pursuit out. It was good fun in end with our fellow passengers. I must say that the crewe were fabulous, food was great but weather let us all down.

My rating in no way reflects the cruise itself. The cruise was lovely and the bay of islands were one of the most beautiful places. But this is where the negatives start, the cruise is not even one day long, it starts at 1pm and ends at 10am. And also if you took the auckland coach option on the cruise they expect you to spend 6 hours from 10am to 4:30pm at the bus station because they only have a evening bus back. But if you do want to travel back to auckland But yes i was really disappointed by the fact that the cruise was literally only 20 hours for such a beautiful location and ship.
