Great tour. Hilarious tour guide (Tony). Worth doing the deluxe tour with lunch. Thanks!

What a great tour this was! I have always wanted to see “Hoover Dam” and now I can see I have been there done that. My driver Mike was excellent and friendly. The bus picks you up at your hotel where you are then transferred to the Airbridge terminal and boarded onto another bus. On the way out to the Dam you are provided with a running commentary on what you are about to see. The Dam itself is amazing and a great achievement to those who built it. Once you leave the Dam, you are then shuttled to Lake Mead for the boat cruise which is an old paddle steamer. This was great also and you can get to see the spectacular scenery that Lake Mead has to offer. You are provided with a deli-style lunch which was quite adequate. On the return to back to Las Vegas you stop off at Ethel M’s chocolate factory. Unfortunately, this is only a quick stop, but worth it to look at all the lovely chocolates. Everybody is then dropped back to their hotels. All in all a very long day. I would recommend you take this tour as you won’t be disappointed.

We loved the Tour of the Dam and the Lake Mead boat ride. They were beautiful and Julio the driver was great. The one thing that did not seem satisfactory was the lunch on the boat ride. It was almost 2 0r 2:30 before it was served and it was not what we were expected. Bag of chips and hoagie after the day started at 845 AM. Groups that did not do the Lake were to have a buffet lunch. The cruise bar also ran out of margerita supplys in 30 min.

Visiting the Hoover Dam is definitely worth it! However, the system to get back from the Dam after the tour could definitely be improved. The bus stopped at the Las Vegas sign for a photo op, which was great. However, the bus driver was somewhat rude and unprofessional. He scolded a lady talking on her cell phone and told her (over the microphone) to "go to the back of the bus." Also, his some of his comments were not what you would expect from a professional tour guide: "Don't look down if you get sick because I ain't got no barf bags along." The worst part was we left the Dam at 1:15 and we were the last hotel to get dropped off so we got back to our hotel at 3:30. They really need to have a quicker system of getting people back to their hotels. Again, the Hoover Dam is very interesting to see and we were glad we went, but the driver and the return service were disappointing.
