Our guide was fabulous. However the ear phones provided were useless. The tour company shoud invest in better equipment. Our guide attempted to talk as loud as possible to accomodate our group. She did the best she could with what she had. Our guide told us facinating stories about Venice. I would rate the guide 5 stars.

Walking tour was interesting and I could clearly hear out tour guide with the ear piece provided. However, there was a good 20minute waiting delay for the gondolas as I believe it was overbooked. The gondola ride also only lasted 20minutes but it was very enjoyable.

Venice is beautiful. The Viator trips were enjoyable once I fathomed out meeting points. Given the size of the place and some unhelpful directions. I reflect that more accurate and precise directions on the vouchers would have lessened my stress level. Some clear signing of meeting points would also have helped.

Unfortunately, despite rating other Viator excursions very highly indeed, I was quite disappointed with this trip. The meeting point was quite difficult to find, once there we were ushered into linguistic groups and given audio packs to allow us to hear the tour guide over the crowds. The group was quite large and the equipment was poor quality, meaning that we had very little chance of understanding what was being said whilst on the move.
Although the guide was very friendly, the sights we saw in and around San Marco square weren't what I was expecting, we mainly traveled down back alleys and shopping streets.
The gondola ride was nice, but they did over-fill the boats somewhat, with around six strangers in every boat. Also, the canals were quite busy that day, resulting in quite a lot of 'traffic'.
I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this trip, some of it's let downs were due to it being an extremely busy weekend in Venice, but all in all I wouldn't book again.
I am sorry to say that this was our least favorite tour while we were in Italy. When we got to the location, there were over 100 people there and things were disorganized. The was a group in French and 1 in Spanish, and 2 in English.
But our guide spoke poor English and it was hard to hear and understand, even with headphones. For the Gondola ride, all the groups got there at
the same time, so the wait was almost an hour.
A real disappointment of a tour.
