Pick up and drop off from our hotel was really convenient. Only spent a few hours in Venice, but that was enough! It's very beautiful, but very crowded and expensive! This is an ideal trip if you just want a taste of Venice. It was certainly enough for us. The excursions were a good idea even though we don't normally do group tours. This was probably the best and most reasonable way to have a gondola ride, and see some of the sights.

This tour was good value. The Murano glassblowing activity is not good value. The same items for sale in the showroom are for sale in close by shops for a quarter of the price. The lunch was adequate - a starter of pasta followed by pork and rosti potatoes, with ice cream and gelato for dessert. The drinks were 5 euros for a small can. The benefit of choosing this meal option was that is was already organised, efficiently served and a reasonable value for the price. The gondola ride was great value; I took heaps of fantastic photos. Our gondolier didn't sing, but did hum a bit.... The vaporetto ride back to the departure point was not worth the money. I would have preferred to spend more time exploring the city and shopping - as it was we had only 30 or 40 minutes between the gondola ride and having to queue for the vaporetto. In hindsight, I would have walked back to the departure point, as Venice is small and there are many signposts. All in all, an excellent day. We arrived back in Ljubljana around 10 pm.

There was confusion with the pick up point even after we attempted to contact Kompas and Viator. Overall the itinerary was great. There were, however some extra costs once we were aboard the Prince of Venice which we were not aware of ahead of time. These things and the additional costs to get back to the boat should have been disclosed ahead of time.

Worst! I want my money back. I'm from Asia and the tour guides from Kompas all speak slovene.I am sure they are not blind and they can see we are not from slovenia but they don't really care much. In this 12 hours day tour i only received a 30 min english information about st Marcos.
before arriving in venice, the tour guides gave a 45 min briefing about the trip but it was in slovene, my wife and I were totally lost, no idea where to meet, what time we have to gather at the meeting point, when the ferry was gonna to leave. The tour guides don't bother at all. The only time they made an english announcement when they wanted to sell the maps and souvenir. You can image what was the situation and you were just helpless.
Take my feedback, never ever take up this tour!!unless you can speak slovene
