Very quick trip to Versailles. I highly recommend r this trip if you just want to see the palace. This tour does not include access to the fountains and gardens.

Good for the independent traveller who just requires transport to Versailles but doesn't want to stick with a tour group

I was hoping that by having our tickets and avoiding the ticket line we would have an easy entrance into Versailles. Unfortunately, we still had to wait in the entrance line for over 1 hour. The throngs of people within the halls of Versailles was overwhelming. One could literally not move and it was a relief to finally get out. It was so bad that we moved through without even looking at our surroundings. The only plus was the Hall of Mirrors due to the fact that you could actually move.
I am aware that Viator has no control over crowds so I do not fault them. The tour left on time and they gave us an extra half hour to explore before returning to the bus.
If I were to make any recommendation it would probably be to take the early morning departure. We took the 2:00 departure on a Friday.
