This was a very good day trip from Madrid. The cities and sights were wonderful. The only complaint we would have is that our tour guide spent more time giving information in Spanish than in English.

Great trip, enjoyed the visit to Avila and Segovia very much. Happy that I went.
I understand that we were under time constraint but I wish the tour would slow down a bit for the older and less fit tour members who struggled to keep up and I also wish we had spent more than 10 minutes at the gift shop/relic shop in Avila so we could buy some souvenirs.

Way too much time spent in churches and cathedrals, when there are other things to check out. Give Avila a big miss unless you can convnce the guide to give the churches a miss. The town wall were way more interesting, shame we didn't get to see them. The aquaduct in Segovia is far more impressive. On a positive we did enjoy the castle at Segovia.
