Old wooden house in mountain region

There are whole villages of wooden houses some 800 years old that look like new and each is different and made without the use of nails with organic insulation - straw, rope etc. These places are a photographers dream and you want to stop at each one..

Old Mountainside Cemetery

This is a unique cemetery because most of the 'headstones' are carved from local wood and even the 'flowers' are wooden in some cases. There are famous local people buried here including the famous architect of the first big wooden house and a champion Polish skier who was executed for being a courier during the war.
