Small group made this experience very worth while. We had a very nice couple who's family made wine in their family for decades. They chipped in the maker's side of the story while learning how to taste wine!

This was fabulous and we learned alot..BUT they didn't know we were coming.. just happened to look for it earlier in the day so we knew where to go.. and so they were prepared ,but after this small glitch.. it was great..

We learned a lot about the selected wines, cheeses and olive oil, and it was interesting, but the selection could have been a bit larger, as could the tiny bits of cheese.

The wine was excellent and our guide made for a very pleasant evening, but the cheese was a little disappointing. We needed to recce the street on the day before, because the dual numbering system is very confusing if you don't know 17=39red, especially as there is a wine shop between 15 and 19 red!
Very enjoyable and good company, anyway.

I think that the 5 stars that this event has are based on when the tasting used to be at the Pitti Gola e Cantina when the host was Zeno. It is now in a different location with a different host. If you are re-visiting this event as we were, be aware that this is the case.
