If you're ready to get away from all the activity in Dubai, go where the locals go for a getaway. Al Ain is a calm, laid-back oasis city with lots of history. Include a drive into the mountains for panoramic views. Not an adrenaline-charged tour, but informative and interesting, gives you a different look at the region. Not a crowded private car tour.

Nothing interesting, except for the original Sheikh's palace and the camel market. Archeological sites are very small and lacking information. Oasis - disappointing. Lunch break could be taken in a traditional Arabic restaurant, instead of the mall food court.
