A one hour train ride takes us to the start of our tour 60 km south of Vienna. Through farmland along a little stream we come to the lovely gorge of the "Johannesbach" and cross over it with bridges and ladders.

The trail continues through beautiful forest to the ruins of an old fortress "Schrattenbach" where we can stop and enjoy the view. Before we reach the train station we will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at a country inn.
