Seattle Locks Cruise

You don't have to be a shipping enthusiast to be enthralled by the complex workings of the Seattle locks system - originally built to transport coal and timber from the eastern shores of Lake Washington. Along the way you'll be treated to stunning city skylines and mountain views, and a trip to the "Sleepless in Seattle" floating houseboat district.

Since 1963, this cruise has been operating on both salt and fresh water via Seattle's famous Hiram Chittenden Locks. Live narration teaches how the Locks function, all while experiencing fantastic city and mountain views from Elliott Bay, Puget Sound, Lake Union and the Lake Washington Ship Canal.

You will also enjoy seeing the unique "Sleepless in Seattle" floating houseboat community. The return journey back to your original departure point is motorcoach.
