Wow! By far the best thing I did on my trip to France. Mont Saint Michel is a place like no other in the entire world. The drive each way actually doesn't feel as far as you'd expect it would. I was hesitant about it, but there are wonderful window views on the bus so it goes by quickly. The food at the lunch was decent, but not the best. It's an omelet filled with fluffy egg whites, salmon with rice, and an apple tart. From the restaurant, I couldn't see the mont from my position, but there are windows all around the room that offer other phenomenal views. The trip in the monastery was very informative and we had plenty of time for photos. There are quite a few stairs though leading up to the top and back down, so take this under advisement before attending the guided tour. We were not given much time to shop afterwards (about 35 minutes) but over all, we had a blast and I wouldn't hesitate to take the trip again.

Mont Saint Michel is truly one of the best places in the world to spend time - and I am not a religious person. Our day trip was fantastic. The luncheon provided did not meet the needs of everyone on the tour, with several of the passengers requiring vegetarian meals only. Perhaps there needs to be an option for this on the order form. But overall we had a fabulous day and have already recommended to several of my colleagues who are also visiting France later this year.

Skip the lunch, that wasted an hour and a half and head straight for the abbey. No time to wander around we had to to right back to the bus after the tour. Incredlibly crowded. They should ban strollers and dogs!

It was a good trip and worth doing – but it was a very long day – forget views of the mount lunch they cram you up in a corner of the room with no views (the restaurant was not busy - plenty of seats with views but not for viator?) – Guides and drivers very good
