The rice terraces are lovely, and if you are taken to a coffee and spice plantation be sure to try the coffees and teas, they are out of this world! You can't bring coffee or black tea into Australia, but green tea, cocoa and spices are fine. The chocolate is to die for. The temples start to blur together after a while, but are always interesting. The guides will always try to accommodate any special request you may have - they are fantastic! Courteous, knowledgeable, and approachable, and they take care to ensure your comfort and safety.

Good value for money as we were the only ones on the trip so had the car to oursleves. It is a long day and the roads are very bumpy and winding. I suffer from travel sickness and even my preventative measures did not help with all the swaying, stopping and starting and bumps. Felt a bit pressuered at the cultural stops as there was very little demonstration of the art, just pressurised shopping opportunity. The temple was very quiet as there were very few tourists. It was nice to see the rice terraces which is what you imagine when you think of Bali.

The quality of the tour depends very much of the guide. Our guide for this trip was too much into bregging about his knowledge and too little into actually providing information. However, 2 days after this trip I have been to another trip with the same operator, but different guide. Our new guide, Rai A. has provided a lot of useful information and has responded to all of our questions. In conclusion, when booking tours operated by Tour East ask for Rai A. as guide, you will not be dissapointed.

Our guide was great, very respectful and caring. This was a lovely day if you want to get away from the towns and into the countryside but could end up being very similar to the Volcano trip.
