A magical day. Arrive early to find the bus and get a good seat. Once on the tour, the highlight for me was Anne Hathaway's Cottage and Oxfordshire town. If you love the Shakespearean era this will truly touch your heart. The magical garden walks and cottage tours and Anne Hathaway's Cottage and cute friendly shops, cafes and bars are so exciting. Discover where the common phrases we use as a laugh originated come from and sit and have a pint and old fashioned pub lunch in the exact spot Will Shakespeare once did. Then, set foot amongst Oxford, where there are a whopping 39 colleges! It took so long just to view one but well worth it. You walk where the Harry Potter movie stars have been. Some beautiful architecture and photography moments. Make sure you have a good breakfast, a pub lunch and a sleep on the trip home. A day you will remember forever!

The best day ever! Heidi, Rowena and I jumped on the bus and had a very English day out indeed! Our first stop was Anne Hathaway's Cottage, which was absolutely gorgeous! It was nice to spend a day in the countryside. The gardens at Anne Hathaway's Cottage were full of color and the tour inside is well worth it. It doesn't take very long and the guide commentary was really interesting. Also loved the little garden where we could press buttons and listen to Shakespeare quotes. Stratford-upon-Avon was the highlight for me and the three of girls had many a giggle of lagers and steak and ale pie at The Garrick Inn. We also stopped to check out some art at the Whitehall Galleries on the main road --- we met Dan and had a nice chat over a free glass of wine. It's well worth hunting it down!

Honestly, I was more interested in the Oxford portion of our tour, but willingly looked around during the beginning and Shakespeare portion. However, I was disappointed in the brevity of time with our visit to Anne Hathaway's cottage. If it could, it should have been longer. The visit at Shakespeare's home was self-guided. I chose not to eat lunch in town, but rather the snacks I brought with me on the bus because there was so little time in town. The tour of Oxford was worth the wait. I was mainly interested in the Harry Potter aspect and was not disappointed. I did not know there are 39 colleges, and so we only viewed 3. This isn't the tour if you want an extensive view of Oxford, but it's a good start.
