In the very limited time we had in Stratford, the tour was the best way to see the highlights quickly. The guide was well informed.

Most of the sights of the town are an easy walk from each other, but Anne Hathaway's cottage and Mary Arden's home are too far to walk. If you plan to go into multiple homes, be sure to buy the pass for the Shakespeare houses, it's a much better bargain as the houses individually are very expensive.

This is a great quick way to see Stratford-on-Avon, plus you get to hear some interesting history and fun facts. My only complaint would be the bad earphones; there was a lot of static.

The last tour ended at 4:20 pm - other hop on hop off tours run until at least 8:00 pm. This meant that arriving at the Anne Hathaway home at 4:00 was a bit late. It didn't seem worth it to pay 7.50 pounds for only twenty minutes to tour the location. Perhaps a bit of warning about the early ending would have been helpful.
