The eco-tour guides were great, the dinner amazing. I would not have ordered kangaroo or crocodile, but they were on the buffet line, and I liked them both--and no, they don't taste like chicken. I do not consume alcohol, but for those who do, the wine flowed freely--that made a good impression because I hate stinginess. How cool is that to have seen Uluru with waterfalls and watch the sunset on Kata Tjuta through a clouded sky and observe 5 sets of rain areas on 180 degree horizon. The color changes on Uluru were not noticeable, but the textures in the monolith could be observed while rain and mist rolled over the top of it. Absolutely wonderful!!! What an adventure! The clouds allowed the stars to peek out here and there during the Sounds of Silence dinner, so we were able to see the Southern Cross and Orion's Belt and that was even okay--again, not perfect, but the tours were everything I hoped for and more.

Sounds of Silence dinner was wonderful. The food was excellent, and plenty of it. Good company, good wine, excellent location - but should have put on some insect repellent! Our guide for the sunrise trip to Uluru, was the best! He brought the history to life by re-telling the tales that he obviously loved. He's was a star! Afternoon trip the same day to the Olgas was a mistake too hot, too far, too tired after getting up at 5am to see Uluru, so didn't really appreciate it. Don't do 2 trips in one day - not in the heat of summer.

The walk around the base of Uluru was beyond words and the guide was amazing and knowledgeable. Sounds of Silence is a must-do!

It is difficult to find anything to fault. Dawn at Uluru was fantastic, and the subsequent tour was well worth while. The Olgas were in many ways even more spectacular than Uluru, which was a surprise, since we had never heard of them. The Sounds of Silence dinner was also excellent, though I can see it might not be such a good idea if the weather is cloudy.
