First of all, skipping the line was the primary reason for getting this tour. Our guide David was very good! he explained every area so well. I was with my kids ages 17,13,12 and they understood the Sistine chapel paintings. He told alot of secrets too that happened inside the vatican. Then the afternoon tour was led by Patrick who also gave a good tour of the other basilicas. One of our best trips.

Would recommend this tour to everyone. We had the best guides for both the morning and afternoon part of the tour. Very informative. I know the Vatican museum is always packed but it would have been nice to have a little more time in the museum and wish it had included the catacombs.

I enjoyed my tour of the Vatican as the guides (for both morning and afternoon sessions) were very knowledgeable. I was particularly impressed with the manner in which the morning guide managed to keep the group on track (i.e., she was not sidetracked by individual questions) as there was so much to be seen. Both guides gave less than subtle hints about giving a tip, which I think was disappointing. A tip for future travellers (one I wish I had known beforehand) is that backpacks could not be taken into the Vatican. The walk back to collect them is about 1km; this takes away from the time that can be spent exploring before the next session. The queues into the Vatican were long, so the Skip the Line option was a good one!

You should not call this tour "Vatican in One Day", since only half the day is spent at the Vatican. I booked this tour because I had heard that the Vatican was absolutely huge, and would take time to see. What I wanted was to spend the entire day at the Vatican. As I'm not familiar with the locations of the major churches, I didn't realise until the day that they had nothing to do with the Vatican.
The Vatican part of the tour was great, the guide was helpful, and I would definately recommend the half-day tour.
