An incredible day providing breathtaking views of hills, sheep, mountains and rivers. The cruise on Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea added waterfalls, rainbows, awsome rock formations and seals. It was a day to remember and comes highly recommended.Reviewed by: Karen K, USA, November 2013
Great trip - albeit a long bus trip to get there. The driver was very knowledgeable. We brought our own lunch for the cruise, but the buffet smelt good (no idea if it was actually nice). You can buy snacks, drinks and tea/coffee on board.
If you suffer motion sickness, you'll need something for the bus trip - it's a good 3 hours of windy roads in each direction. Even with multiple stops, this can be hard going.
Apart from that, great day out!
The tour is an excellent experience. It is a long day trip to the Sound and back but worth it. The tour guide we had was very professional and knowledgeable and made the three hour bus trip enjoyable. The boat trip was quite short but we saw lots of waterfalls, seals basking on rocks and gorgeous scenery. Lunch was average and not really worth it. Overall, a very good tour.Reviewed by: Molly, Australia, September 2013
You can't go wrong with a road trip to Milford Sound, the scenery is just amazing, tour guide very friendly, helpful and knew what he was talking about. Only thing I had wished for was a few more stops to take photos as the scenery is just spectacular. I used Viator in Europe, always happy with themReviewed by: Shay L, July 2013
Great trip and beautiful vistas, would be great to add to original verbiage that there is a 4-hour bus-ride to get there and then to get back.Reviewed by: Fin B, May 2013
