Travel to Lagos - known to many as the pot of gold, because of its yellow rocks along the coast. Known from 228 AD, Lagos was the scene of Roman and Cartage people signing the contract that fastened Ebro as the border among them.

Your next stop is Sagres, the most south-westerly village in mainland Europe. Henry the Navigator is thought to have had his headquarters (his so-called "School of Navigation") in the vicinity of Sagres, though the exact location is not known.

The Cape St Vincent is steeped in history and this once windswept place of suggested beauty is now the end of the line, a well beloved place of considerable interest to botanists and bird watchers.
