4-Day Monkey Mia Dolphins and Sand Boarding 4WD Adventure from Perth

See the famous wild dolphins of Monkey Mia on a four-day 4WD adventure from Perth. Along the way, you'll go sandboarding at Lancelin, stay the night at a wheat and sheep station, see the stromatolites at Shark Bay and visit Yanchep National Park.

This 4WD adventure along the West Coast to Monkey Mia is a must-do experience. For almost 30 years, three generations of wild bottle-nosed dolphins have made a ritual of visiting a remote beach at a small settlement called Monkey Mia, 527 miles (850 kilometers) north of Perth.

You'll visit all the highlights of the region, and experience life on a coastal sheep station on your overnight stop.

Accommodation:
Accommodation is mostly situated on farms, stations and country hostels. Room configurations vary from 2 to 10 bed bunkhouse rooms with shared toilet and shower facilities. Upgrades available for twin share and single supplement. Properties used may change, however the same standard is guaranteed. If you don't have your own sleeping bag, one may be purchased for AUD$40 per person.

Meals:
Fresh food is prepared where possible, we endeavor to provide a healthy and varied menu. Breakfast is continental style, including toast, cereals, tea and coffee and fruit juice. Lunch is picnic style, including cold meats, salad or sandwiches and fruit. Dinner includes hot main meals and dessert. Many favorites to appear on the menu are camp oven roast, curries, pastas, satays and BBQs, with a variety of desserts. Don't forget to try the damper!

Vehicles:Tours are conducted in custom built 4x4 vehicles and rugged safari coaches. The vehicles range in size from 5 to 16 seats, with forward facing seats, air conditioning, stereo and PA systems, two way radios and satellite phones ensuring a comfortable tour with medical assistance in remote areas.

Itinerary:

DAY 1:Perth - Horrocks Beach Depart Perth and travel to the fishing community of Lancelin, here you'll go sand boarding on the huge white sand dunes before making our way to W.A.'s unique Pinnacle Desert.  After walking through this desert of limestone spiers, you'll make our way to Horrocks Beach. (Lunch, Dinner included)

DAY 2: Horrocks Beach - Shark Bay Explore coastal and inland regions of Kalbarri N/Park including 'Natures Window' and 'The Loop' seeing abundant wildlife and spectacular scenery. You'll continue north to Shark Bay and the Stromatolites, stopping at Shell Beach, before continuing to our overnight stay at the Monkey Mia Dolphin Lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

DAY 3:  Monkey Mia After breakfast you may visit the famous dolphins of Monkey Mia, one of a few places in the world dolphins from the 'wild' come to meet people. The morning is spent interacting with these amazing creatures (Dolphin appearance not guaranteed). Take the opportunity to go sailing in the Bay.  After lunch, we bid the dolphins farewell, as you travel south to our overnight stay. Overnight Northhampton. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)

DAY 4: Northhampton - Perth Depart Geraldton this morning and travel south to Yanchep National Park, where you'll have lunch overlooking Lake McNess.  This afternoon you'll spend time learning about Aboriginal culture and dreamtime with the Noongar people (subject to guide availability. If no guides available an alternate tour of the crystal cave will be included).  Arrival back in Perth is approximately 5:00pm. (Breakfast, Lunch included)
