Perfect way to see the Grand canyon, the views from the sky were fabulous if a little perturbed by someone with a fragile stomach, not really the operators issue.
The south rim ground tour was spectacular, but suffered a little from a poor intercom on the coach so sat at the rear we got little of the commentary.
Great views...tedious getting there. First you are picked up by shuttle bus. Then taken to airport. All check in requirements including security, but with no allocated seating and priority given to some groups it is first and pushiest who get the window seats both on the plane and on the buses ( in our case the tour was two full coach/ buses). We got picked up at 2.15 and they didn't tell us till 3.30 - 3.45 as we waited at the airport, that they had problems and the flight would be delayed till 5. We therefore ended up with only 2 hrs at the Grand Canyon. We were not offered a discount or anything! The flight and the pilots were wonderful and we really enjoyed flying there and back. Grand Canyon South Rim is awesome!! breathtaking! you can really feel yourself and mind really connected and free. Talking about the package, WE´VE GOT SOME PROBLEMS. first, the program we´ve booked at noon was not available.even it was available at the viator website. well, they rearrenged us for the earliest time, at 7a.m. we had to change other plans. second, even they sell they can pick u up at the hotel in Las Vegas it was not possible in Marriot, the hotel we were hosted, wich was one block far from planet hollywood, the hotel we were suposed to be picked up. By phone, in the day before, even i insisted them to pick us up at Marriot ( we are foreigners and cassinos in Las vegas someting are confusing) it was said for us to wait at 5h20 am in Planet Hollywod, in Las vegas Boulevard.we were on time at that place and NOBODY WAS WAITING FOR US. the place was Bus Plaza in Plannet Hollywood. Anyhow,as our flight would depart from airport at 7.00am i tried do call the company to get the adress in order to be there by taxi. The attendent was worried about the responsability for the mistake and couldnt give us quickly the adress. no refund for the taxi was solicitated at the moment, even by now i havent. We were just worried about get the ariport till 7.00 am not to loss the grand canyon experience. they were worried about to find a "guilty".We got there on time, 6h45!! third, all the group was from Japan and the guide spoke in Japanese. Anyhow, it was a friendly group! fortunatelly, Tod, the driver, a grand canyon resident, helped us with some informations in english! Fourth, at the end of the tour all the group´were conduced before to the airport in order to leave a japanese woman to take a flight. definetely, its not isonomic. we werent able to be picked up at our central hotel but someone else was able to be left at the airport 20min far before everybody else. we hope that the tour operator improve services and treat customer all the same.Reviewed by: Gustavo C, June 2013
